Tele-Town Hall, a New Way for Elected Officials to Interact Live with Constituents
Washington, D.C. – Rodney A. Smith, an entrepreneur with extensive political background, has developed a new, innovative non-partisan system linking politicians to their constituents. In 1820 Thomas Jefferson said, “A well informed electorate is our best defense against tyranny.”
Thanks to Smith’s new system elected officials can now interact with their constituents in large groups at the touch of a button. Tele-Town Hall enables every constituent, including those unable to attend a traditional town hall meeting, to participate in live question and answer sessions with their elected officials. Without leaving the comfort of their home, every constituent can hear and speak directly to their elected officials.
Tele-Town Hall is the next step in one-to-one communications. Elected officials now have a tool that enables them to personally invite everyone to become an integral part of our political process.
Utilizing a patent-pending dialing system with voice over IP (Internet Protocol), an elected official initiates contact with constituents via a prerecorded message inviting them to participate in a live, real time meeting over the phone. By pressing 1 on their keypad, constituents can choose to participate. If someone wants to ask a question and personally talk with the elected official, the constituent simply pushes the # sign on their keypad. Instantly they are transferred into the queue. Everyone on the “party line” can hear both the official and the selected constituent. A Web-based control screen enables the elected official to see the name and location of every person they are speaking with, and to invite each person to ask their questions. Elected officials can also pose questions to the entire group, and tally the answers that constituents makes via their phone’s keypad.
Given the varied constraints imposed on elected officials coupled with the fact that Tele-Town Hall has other applications, the Company has created a special internal division, Constituent Town Hall Services, to exclusively handle all work for elected officials. This internal separation allows the Company to erect an administrative and operational firewall between the services it provides to elected officeholders operating in their capacity as government officials and the services it provides to other clients.
For more information about this exciting new breakthrough in person-to-person communications call Tele-Town Hall’s main office at (202) 237-8313 or visit our website at teletownhall.com. And please know that the company considers specifics about its relationship with clients confidential. Thank you!
